What is codesnap?

codesnap is the simplest way to find programmers to build software for you. You post a specification for free, and then view bids from coders around the world. The codesnap website will help you select a coder, and then helps you manage the project until completion.

Projects are almost always completed faster than expected, and for less cost because coders worldwide compete for the work. Communication with coder is via email, or from your private project page. Only when you are satisfied with the job do you then pay the coder directly (via paypal etc). You can then rate each other on the codesnap website.

Also, codesnap is a socially responsible web site - meaning that we don't take a percentage of the payout to the software developers, who are from all over the world. If you need software built, you'll realize this also means that you will get more for your money here at codesnap.

It takes only a couple minutes to create a free codesnap account. Try it right now, and let us know what you think.

Who we are

The people behind codesnap are Boston-based software engineers Christian Allen and Paul English. Christian previously worked as a core contributor to OpenMRS open source health records while living in Rwanda, working for Partners In Health. Paul has started a few software companies, and is currently the CTO/Cofounder of Kayak.com. We originally created codesnap to help us find coders for our own projects, and to support coders in developing countries. But also, we found other sites for finding coders to be very, very frustrating.
